Belt Conveyors
Belt conveyors provide relatively low-cost conveyance with high friction and zero relative motion between the belt and the product. This makes them useful for long runs of simple transport, and for special applications such as control points near merges as well as a good tracking device to add sortation devices.
They may be further classified into Slider Bed and Roller Bed types. In a Slider Bed, the belt travels on top of the sheet metal conveyor frame. This results in a low cost conveyor but for longer runs, the additional friction can require a larger drive train – resulting in additional cost. In a Roller Bed, the belt travels on rollers reducing friction from around 40% to 5%. On longer units the additional cost of rollers is offset by the savings from a smaller drive.

2-1/2 in. diameter belt pulleys along with a high quality monofilament belt provide smooth transitions for smaller packages found in today’s distribution centers. Also the frames match with other models eliminating the hassle and cost of spacer channels.
High precision bearings are standard, not and upgrade providing a much quieter and longer lasting conveyor. CRUZ belt warranty is twice that of most competitive units.
