Custom Fabrication
Overview
Sometimes standard equipment is not really enough for the task and custom machinery is required to facilitate the best possible solution for your unique challenges. StreamTech engineers have decades of experience in concepting the design of custom industrial material handling equipment and shepherding that concept from design to reality and ultimately enhancing the automation level of your plant.
Our fabrication projects may be a simple as a conveyor crossover or as complex as a custom automated storage and retrieval system. As can be expected, lead times on these times of projects vary much more widely due to engineering load than do standard type items.
We use both 2D and our own parametric 3D drawing environments to model and ascertain feasibility from operator ergonomics to throughput to fit in your plant environment. Statistical models if needed are built in spreadsheet format and simulation methodologies are used where appropriate. Designs are thoroughly evaluated prior to manufacturing to ensure their success.
StreamTech uses quality control checklists along with similar resources for safety, ease of use, and speed. Once all the parameters are satisfied, we conduct in-house testing prior to customer Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) where the system is tested for your approval.
After FAT, the system is broken down and shipped to your facility for re-assembly and commissioning. Many installations are done over short periods or even weekends to minimize downtime. Once the system has met is operational goals such as production rates, we work with you to create a short punchlist which we complete prior to final acceptance and warranty period.
