Lineshaft Conveyors

Rollers in lineshaft conveyor extract power from a drive shaft mounted underneath the unit via urethane O-rings. Since its introduction, this technology has occasionally been misapplied (for example, it is not suitable for wet or oily products or extreme point loads) and suffered low quality copies of the original designs. When applied correctly it provides excellent low-cost transportation, accumulation and routing for flat boxes, letters or trays in a dry warehouse or order fulfillment environment or a relatively clean manufacturing environment such as electronics manufacturing.

Lineshaft conveyor provides superior flexibility allowing the design to incorporate merges, transfers, curves, zero-pressure buffer zones and other system features with a minimal number of drives. Lineshaft conveyor is easy to install and trim to fit, and modify as your needs change. It is clean with no belts to track or lace. Because the rollers are constantly under a very slight tension, the conveyor is quiet and bearings tend to last longer than belt-driven live roller. The built-in slight slippage allows for soft starts, safe operation, and long-lasting drive trains.

Slight tension due to the o-rings provides for longer bearing life and quieter operation than most conventional belt-driven live roller designs.
