Narrow Belt Sorters (NBS)

Narrow belt sorters carry product on strands of belting with zero relative motion to the divert point, where wheels or rollers pop-up to carry the box away. These sorters have become probably the widest used modern warehouse sortation device, and for good reason. They provide most of the capability of extremely complex, high-maintenance and expensive high end sorters such as sliding shoe style, in a low maintenance, quiet, moderately priced device. In fact special adaptations of NBS sorters can reach speeds of 200 cartons per minute.

30 Degree NBS sorters are a mainstay and offer speeds in the 60 to 90 cases per minute range. Our NBS sorters have several patented design features to reduce maintenance cost and labor and improve operation, such as individual belt take-ups.

90 Degrees NBS sorters have speeds in the 40 to 60 case per minute range and over layout space saving.

Modular 24VDC NBS sorters enjoy wide usage in our systems to meet case rates typically in the 30 to 40 cases per minute range. In this case, the sorter is serving four unique divert points. Modular NBS sorters provide a tremendous value especially for small material handling systems.

Small Item NBS Sorters can handle products with form factors down to the size of a CD or even a business card.
